Apollo 11 Real Time Mission Experience will be on my 2020 Best Related Work Hugo Award Nomination Ballot

I know we're all still trying to get through the 2019 Hugo Award and 1944 Retro Hugo Award finalist materials before the voting deadline, but you need to put that aside for a minute and live the Apollo 11 Real Time Mission Experience *right now*.

TIME MACHINE I TELL YOU! GO! GO NOW!!
Image from the Help screen on the Apollo 11 Real Time Mission Experience. GO! NOW!!

I was going to try to write up a long post about why it's awesome, but really it all boils down to this.

I FEEL LIKE I'M STEPPING INTO A TIME MACHINE.

Just go check it out if you haven't already.

You know those clips you see, the way people used to gather around their televisions and radios, completely enraptured? Suddenly it's 50 years ago and THAT'S YOU NOW. Except you've got visibility into a whole lot more through this magic dashboard. You're experiencing 50 years ago today, 50 years ago *this very second*, right now.

I'm not going to write up all the features. Go poke around and click the buttons and discover it. Go now!

This was a project clearly put together with so much loving care. Especially as someone who wasn't alive to experience the Apollo 11 mission, I appreciate it so very much! This is going to appear on my 2020 Hugo Awards nomination ballot.
